This green houseplant is also known as Dypsis Lutenscens. The areca palm belongs to the palm family and is also called the golden palm. The areca palm does not like direct sunlight. Place it preferably somewhere in partial shade and at least 5 meters away from the window. The soil of the areca palm should always feel slightly moist. However, be careful with too much water!
